about

Located in Melbourne/Naarm and on Gadabanud country in Cape Otway, Whitmore Press is an independent venture established in 2004 with the launch of the first issue of the literary annual Space: New Writing.

The press has since published contemporary Australian poetry, producing signed, limited-edition chapbooks as well as full-length collections.

The Whitmore Press publisher is Anthony Lynch.

Perhaps the most handsome books in the catchment are the signed and limited-edition chapbooks produced by Whitmore Press.
– Bronwyn Lea, Westerly

… the two books from Whitmore Press are beautifully designed … May all publishers prepared to bring out books by good new poets receive the rewards they deserve, if not on earth, then in heaven,
where they take poetry seriously.

– Martin Duwell, Australian Book Review

Whitmore Press is to be congratulated for their high production values.
This growing series of signed, limited edition volumes increases the reflex
for possession.

– Nathan Shepherdson, Southerly
